About

My philosophy is "train the dog, don't blame the dog."

Cam training two dogs

Police dog handling is a unique profession. Handlers operate in a dynamic environment – the tactics used by criminals constantly evolve, the nature of the crime is more violent, and the physical environment is more condensed and crowded. Police Dog Teams are embedded into these highly dynamic, stressful environments daily. Our dogs need to be trained and connected in such a way that they can follow commands and work in sync with their handler, or the outcomes can be dangerous, even life-or-death.

Having worked and trained with many police dogs, and mentored many handler/dog teams, I’ve built experience and expertise in understanding the nature of dogs, and the training methods that work best to achieve results.

I now pass this knowledge onto my clients through Complete K9 Brisbane. Even though the environments are different, the importance of understanding how your dog thinks and why they react in a certain way in stimulating environments is the same.
